The superstar quarterback blasts crowd noise on his home stereo, while he studies his team’s playbook. It’s an abrasive tactic, but effective; simulating all variables.
A visiting biographer walks into the room. She has been tasked with describing the mechanics of the quarterback’s talent. The noise is deafening, but she risks her hearing for the written word.
She pulls out her notepad and a pen; then poses the first question:
“Is this Arrowhead Stadium or Soldier Field?” she asks.
“Actually, it’s Lambeau,” answers the Quarterback. “One of my favourites.”
He sits down and analyzes the plays, while she analyzes him.
